11 January 2011 Update
This past week has been great for me. I had a crash a couple weeks ago and had a little injury to my knee and ribs. Since it is pretty much our off season I was able to take some time off of riding and let everything get back to 100% instead of rushing it. This week I started riding again and I am super pumped to be back on the bike from my two week break. My new bikes are coming along great and I'm feeling more and more comfortable each time I ride them and I am looking forward to some great racing this next season. The riding was awesome throughout the week even though I had some gnarly blisters from not riding. Once the weekend hit we loaded up and headed over to California to watch the start of the Supercross kick off at Anaheim. The racing was awesome and I was stoked to be there. Overall a great week for me and I am loving every second on the bike.
14 December 2010 Triple Crown
This past weekend we finished up the final round of the Triple Crown series at Pala Raceway. The races went well for me, and I rode well. The day started out good getting the win in the first moto which was 250 Intermediate. First moto of schoolboy went alright as I fell early in the moto and was back in the pack. I was able to come through and get back into second by the end of the moto. The second motos started out well as there was no rain this time and the track was getting rough and technical. I was able to get the win again in the 250 Intermediate class. In Schoolboy I was able to stay on two wheels and get the win giving me the overall for the day in both classes as well as in the triple crown series.

Overall -
250 Intermediate - 1st place
Schoolboy - 1st place

2 November 2010 ... Triple Crown MX Series
This past weekend I raced the Triple Crown mx series at Cahuilla Creek mx park. The weekend started out weird on Saturday as it started raining in southern California. The track ended up to be great though on Saturday for practice and had some awesome lines and the dirt was nice. Sunday started out pretty good as I went out for first practice while the temperature was freezing. It ended up warming up throughout the day though, and by the motos the weather was amazing. My first set of motos went pretty well, I didn't get the greatest starts and spun off of the wet concrete. I ended up still riding good and got into the lead by the second lap in both the intermediate and schoolboy motos. Second motos started a little better for me with my starts and I rode as well as I did in the first motos to again come away with wins in both classes. Overall it was a great weekend for me and I was pumped to come away with all the moto wins in both classes.

250 Intermediate - 1st place
Schoolboy - 1st place
Panic Rev Image Austin Burns5 October 2010 ... Dodge National Race Report
I just got back from the dodge amateur national in Sacramento, CA, and what a week it was. The track was awesome like always and my bikes were working great all week. The week started out great for my in practice and I was loving the track and the new layout at Hangtown. Motos started out good as well, and my first moto was college boy since the schoolboy age limit was only 15 there. I started out getting a horrible start on a 250 against the 450's but was able to come through the pack the first couple laps. I was able to move my way into second, but by that time the leader had checked out and I had to settle for second. The other two college boy motos seemed like repeats of the first where I struggled to get starts on the little bike, and ended up second all three motos.
Going into the 250 B classes, I was tired of eating roost and was gunna get holeshot. I was able to pull holeshot quite a bit in the 250 B classes in both stock and mod. I rode great in both 250 classes and won every moto in stock and mod securing me with two championships on the week.

250 B Stock  1-1-1 - 1st overall
250 B Mod   1-1-1 - 1st overall
Collegeboy (16-24)   2-2-2 - 2nd overall

8 August 10 ... Long Lost Loretta Lynn Update
What a long two weeks it has been. Ponca went really well and I was looking forward to Lorettas. Making it to Loretta Lynns amateur national is an accomplishment in itself and I was stoked to be on the
starting line again. Practice went well for me and I was liking the track. The racing however didn't start out so great for me. My first moto of the week I had a crash while running inside of the top ten and had to fight back in order to get 11th. After that the week seemed like it was at a downhill spiral after the next couple motos when I got a flat tire in one, and fell again in another. The week was going bad for me knowing what I was capable of and where I wanted to be in the finishes and nothing seemed to go my way. Finally in the last couple motos I was able to ride better than I had been riding the rest of the week but it still wasn't to my full potential. Although the week was a struggle for me, I was happy to walk away from the infamous dude ranch with a top ten and being safe.

250 Mod Intermediate - 11,11,7 - 10th overall

8 August 10 ... Ponca City Update

This past week I raced in Ponca City Oklahoma for the Grand National championships. The week started out great for me in practice and I was feeling awesome. My lap times were good and I was looking forward to racing. The first couple days of racing were all qualifiers and I was riding well. My starts were good and I was able to get a few moto wins in the qualifiers. Going into the last day of racing and the main events I was feeling good. The morning started off great and I was riding good. As the day progressed it was going good until the last couple motos I struggled a little bit but overall it was a great week and my results were good all week.

250 stock intermediate – 3rd

250 Mod intermediate – 3rd

250 four stroke open – 4th

Schoolboy – 5th

29 June 10 ... Update #49
Mammoth motocross is always a fun and exciting race to go to and this year was no exception. Although my results were not the greatest there's something about just being on the mountain that sets off a great vibe for racing. The weekend started off pretty good for me and I was feeling comfortable in practice. Friday rolled around and I was ready to race the schoolboy class. The qualifier moto didn't go the greatest for me as I had a crash on the first lap and was deep in the back of the pack. I managed to come back up to eighth which was enough to qualify but left me with a bad gate pick for the main. In the main I got a pretty good start and felt good until the red flagged the race and we had to restart. The second start was not as good for me and I got a horrible start. I never quite got going like I did the first start and ended up 8th overall. After a disappointing performance I was looking forward to Saturday and the intermediate class. The qualifier for the intermediate race went pretty good. I rode awesome but again struggled with a bad start. I was able to get fourth in the qualifier and get a good ate pick. Going into the main I was focused on trying to get a good start knowing that I had the speed to run up front. I got an okay start but I was going to take it considering the other starts I had the rest of the weekend. I felt good and was riding solid in about sixth until I had a little mistake and tipped over in a corner I was able to get going but lost a ton of spots and was in about 20th. I was able to keep pushing until the motos end and ended up catching up to 10th. Overall I was a little disappointed about my end results but I felt good about my fitness and I just need to work on starts and a little more speed before Ponca and Lorettas.

14 June 1- ... Update #48
The past two weeks I did both the South west and South central regional qualifiers for Loretta Lynn's. The southwest regional held at Competitive Edge in California went pretty good. I rode good all weekend and was running up front. I was able to qualify in 250 B Mod and was in qualifying contention for schoolboy as well. Unfortunately I had a few mistakes and a big crash that would cost me qualifying positions in the schoolboy class and force me to do the south central regional. I went to Freestone County Raceway in Texas to qualify in Schoolboy because of my mistake in California. Texas went good, and the track was awesome throughout the weekend. I rode pretty good and was still a little sore from the crash in California. I was able to push through it and ended up qualifying for Schoolboy in Texas. Overall it was a good two weeks and I was able to qualify in both 250 B Mod and Schoolboy 2 (12-16) for Loretta Lynn's coming up in August.

The track was in good condition and made for some great riding. Memorial day Monday cam around and we had a few friends over for a barbecue and a day of pit bike riding. Overall the weekend was fun and a good weekend before the upcoming regional qualifier next weekend.

11 May 10 ... Update #45
This past weekend I raced at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, CO for an area Loretta qualifier. Friday practice started out good and I was having fun on the track. Saturday was the stock classes and I was looking forward to racing. I rode pretty good on Saturday but struggled with my starts, but still rode good. As Sunday came around, I was looking forward to redemption from Saturday. I got off to much better starts on Sunday and rode well. Overall the weekend was awesome and I qualified for both the south central and south west regions.

20 April 10 ... Update #44

This  past week was the 39th annual world mini grand prix at Mesquite Mx Park in Mesquite, NV. This was the first year for the race being at this track. The track was pretty goo throughout the week. The track got really rutted and rough  which made for some awesome racing. The first few days of racing consisted of qualifiers. During my qualifiers I had some bad luck and had some crashes which put me back in the pack and fighting my way through the back of the pack in order to get goo qualifying positions. I ended up qualifying with descent positions and made all the mains which is the first goal. Going into the mains I was feeling confident and ready to race. There was only 8 mains, and  I was in 4 of them which left me with back to back motos. I was bale to get off to good starts in all the main events and rode good except for the last moto where I was struggled a little bit, but still managed a descent finish. Overall it was a good week of racing an my results were good.

I have been busy getting ready for World Mini and am really looking forward to getting on the road again and going racing. The past weeks have been going good training with my trainer Justin Buckelew and I feel confident coming into the race.
23 March 10 ... Update #42 .... Oak Hill
T
his past was the 34th annual GNC national championship at Oak Hill raceway. I was bummed that I didn't get to make it to Lake Whitney the week before due to a broken wrist, but was super excited to be at Oak Hill and be able to race. The week started out pretty good for me in practice and I was feeling comfortable on the track. They then started qualifying for the two moto format main events that were later on in the week. I was able to qualify into the mains and was looking forward to the main event racing. The mains started off pretty good for me, and I was riding good but struggled with starts in most motos. I was able to come away with a couple good overall finishes and I am just looking forward to the next race.

3 March 10 ... Update #41 .... Good News
II haven't had much to write about the past two weeks, I've just been hanging out waiting for my wrist to heal. Yesterday I went to my doctor again and got so great news. My wrist healed great, and I am able to start riding again. I plan on riding as much as my wrist will tolerate the next two weeks and I will be ready for oak hill. I want to thank my doctor Dr. Maddox and Dr. Ezekias for all their help over the past few years and helping me to get back on the bike as soon as possible.

16 February 10 ... Update #40 .... ET Motopark in Arizona
This past weekend I went to race at ET Motopark in Arizona. The racing was Saturday and Sunday and I was looking forward to it. Saturday went alright; I had a couple falls in the first motos, but still had a chance to win the overall. The start of the second motos was the schoolboy class, I fell on the start and dislocated my thumb but I was able to charge from last to first and got the overall win. I was also able to ride my second moto of intermediate and I got the holeshot and just rode smart for the win. I was able to get my thumb back into place Saturday night and felt good so I went to race again on Sunday. The first few motos were great, I was able to pull off all the wins and I was feeling great. Going into my last moto, they decided to water right before us. The track was super slick and I unfortunately slid down one on the landings and then high sided and went for a pretty crazy crash. I ended up chipping one of the bones in my wrist, but I am already feeling much better and I am doing everything I can to make this a short recovery time and hopefully be racing as soon as possible.

Overall Results:
Saturday: Schoolboy - 1st
               250 Intermediate - 1st

Sunday:   Schoolboy - 1st
               250 intermediate - 3rd

8 February 10 ... San Diego Supercross  -- #40

This past week was pretty uneventfull. The week was pretty good; I just spent the week practicing and getting ready for the weekend where we were supposed to race over in California. Unfortuantly the rain cancelled practice and the track had huge puddles all over, so we decicded to find something else to do while we were in california. Since the tracks were all rained out we decided to go and watch San Diego Supercross. The race was pretty fun to watch and gave us something to do since we couldnt ride at the tracks. Not too much happened this week, but I am looking forward to the next few weeks and getting ready for the upcoming amateur nationals.

31 Jan 10 ... Weekly Update #39

This past weekend I raced at Motoland in Casa Grande, AZ. I have been riding the Kawasaki's now for a couple of weeks, and it was my first race on the new bikes. The past couple weeks in Arizona we have got a ton of rain, and most tracks have been flooded, but this weekend the track was awesome. It was a pretty muddy in practice, but the track got some awesome ruts and got pretty rough as well. Racing started out pretty good for me; I struggled a little on starts in the beginning, but was able to pass into the lead fast and then i just rode my own race and pulled away. I am getting more and more comfortable on the new bikes and there is still some things that I feel I can work on and get some more speed. I am looking forward to some more racing in the next couple weeks.

250 Intermediate - 1st place
Schoolboy - 1st place

Weekly Update #37

Amateur Open 2009

I spent this past week at the Arizona Cycle Park for the 6th annual Amateur Open of Motocross. The first two days of the event were spent practicing, and starting some of the race action. Practice went early good, and my speed was good. When racing started, I was ready to go, and couldn't wait. My first moto, i didn't get the greatest start, but was able to take the win. The next day of racing went really well, as I grabbed every holeshot, and won all four of my motos. Day three which was Friday, I was able to grab all holeshots again, but made one mistake in one of my motos which cost me the win in that first moto. Saturday was the day they started crowning champions, and I was ready to race. In the 250 Intermediate stock class, I was going in with a one, but unfortunately fell twice in the final moto, and had to settle for a third overall. I was bummed out about that moto, and set my sights on a win. All of my other four classes, I was able to get great starts, and came away with every win. Overall the week went great, and in the end I was able to win four out of five championships at the 2009 Amateur Open. Not too bad.

10 Nov 09 ... Weekly Update #36

Triple Crown round 2

This past weekend I raced at Milestone mx park for the second round of the 2009 Triple Crown. The track was in good shape for racing, but was a little one lined and hard to pass. 250 intermediate was the first  moto of the day, and I was ready to race. I got off to a descent start, and had to work my way through a few people to move into third place, which is where I finished at the end of the moto. My second moto was schoolboy in which I got off to a good start, but then got pushed wide in the first turn, and a bunch of people were able to pass me, I was abel to get back into second, and finish in that spot. During the second moto of intermediate, I had to work my way from the back again, and was able to get into second. My final moto of the day was schoolboy, I was able to get off to a pretty good start and was sitting in second. i was all over the back of the leader, and tried to make a pass, but was unable to. I was still able to get the overall with my constant motos. Overall the weekend was pretty good, but struggled on some starts. We're going to go back and work on it and get ready for the next race.

Well, as winter gets closer, its time once again for the 3rd annual Triple Crown of Motocross. This past weekend was round number one of the three round series. The first round was held at Pala Raceway in Pala, CA. The track was pretty fun. It was super fast, and had some fun jumps, and good lines. It was the first time that I had been there, and  thought it was pretty good. The day started out pretty good in practice for me, then I went to the line for my first moto, which was 250 intermediate. I got hit going out of the gate, I was dead last going into the first turn I was able to pass quite a few people within  the first lap, and was able to work my way into second by the end of the moto. My next moto was schoolboy. I got off to a better start, and was in about fifth. I passed a few people again, and ended up second. The second moto of intermediate, I got off to a top five start, and was in third by the second lap. Everyone was pretty much the same speed, and I finished third in the moto which gave me second overall. The final moto of the day was schoolboy. I got off to the holeshot, but made a mistake a few turns later, and allowed one person to get by me. I stayed on him throughout the moto, but wasn't anything happen. 3 Oct 09 ... Weekly Update #33 Dodge Amateur National

The past week I spent up in Sacramento, CA for the dodge amateur national. We arrived Saturday night, and got to look at the track on Sunday. It looked awesome, and I couldn't wait to ride on Monday. Practice went great, and I had some fast lap times. I was feeling good on the track, and was looking forward to the start of racing. Racing started out good. I qualified into all of my mains, and didn't have a moto where I finished outside of the top five. My first main event was the 250 intermediate stock. I got a descent jump out of the gate, and then got taken out, and was in a first turn pile up. I wasn't able to finish the moto, and just went back to get ready for my other races. My final moto was schoolboy stock. I got off to a top five start, and worked my way into second within the first couple laps. I finished in second for second overall. My schoolboy mod moto was fist thing on Saturday morning. I got off to an okay start, and was able to get into fifth, and that's where I finished to get fourth overall. My second moto that day was the 125 two-stroke intermediate moto. I was going into the third and final moto with a 1-1 moto score. I got off to a third place start, and got into second. I just rode smart, and stayed in second for the championship. The final moto of the week was 250 stock intermediate. I got off to a descent start, and hit a couple people in the first turn. I worked my way past a couple people, and was in fifth. I was catching the people in front of me, and about half way through the moto, my radiator guard fell down and my radiator was bent from the first turn hit, The radiator guard was catching on my front fender, and my front tire wouldn't turn. I still stayed in fifth, and got fourth overall. Overall, the race was good, and I came away with one championship.

22 Sep 09 ... Weekly Update #32 Perris Hot Summer Nights

This past weekend I went over to Perris, CA to race the perris hot summer nights. The track was pretty fun, and a lot different than the last time I was over there. The track didn't have as many jumps as usual, but was pretty fun. The night started out pretty good in practice. I felt good, and was ready for the race. In the first moto of intermediate I came up short on a big triple they built, and messed up my foot pretty bad. I don't know what's wrong with it yet, but I am hoping to still be ready to race dodge. I still rode the rest of my races with my sore foot, and just had to ice it and stuff in between motos. Overall the racing was good, the track was fun, and I did pretty good considering my foot felt like it was about to fall off.

250 Intermediate - 3rd overall
Schoolboy - 1st overall

R.I.P Tanner Krahenbuhl

This past week has been a very sad week. I began the week like normal doing some schoolwork, and getting ready to ride. Monday morning, I talked to a friend of mine, and found out about a tragic incident that happened over the weekend. After a race up in powder mountain, utah; one of my good friends Tanner Krahenbuhl was killed in a motorhome accident on his way back from the race. I spent the rest of the week in shock, and didn't really want to do much of anything. I just looked at old pictures of when we were little kids, and remembering back on all the great times we had. On Saturday, we drove up to Nevada to attend Tanner's funeral. It was sad, but at the same time, a great way to remember a great friend.

I'm going to miss you buddy

9 August 09 ... Weekly Update #30 Loretta Lynn's 2009

Well, we just finished up racing from the 2009 Loretta Lynn Amateur National championships. This year was a good experience all the way from the qualifiers, and up through the race week. The week started off for us driving into the muddy parking lot, and getting pulled in by a tractor. By seeing all the standing water on the ground, I thought the track was going to be in horrible condition, but much to my surprise, the track was awesome. They made a bunch of changes from the previous years, and I thought the track was pretty fun. It was much more technical, and made for many more passing opportunities throughout the race track.

The week started out for me with my first moto of Schoolboy 1. I got off to a descent start, and made a few passes throughout the race, and ended up in 9th. The second moto, I got a good start, and was up in the top five. I rode there for over half the moto, until falling, and getting passed by a bunch of people, and ended the race in 11th. Going into the third and final moto, I was feeling pretty good, and wanted to go and ride strong throughout the moto. I didn't get off to the greatest start, and worked my way through the pack, and moved into 14th by the motos end. overall, I wasn't too disappointed with my riding, just my starts, and made too many mistakes, but its all part of racing, and I came out with an 11th overall.

My second class for the week was Schoolboy 2. My fist moto was a muddy one, as we were third moto after the only night they received rain. I had a bad gate pick, and was way outside. I got off to a descent start, and ended up falling on the start, which put me in almost dead last to start the moto. I was working my way up, and fell a few more times in the mud before the moto was over, and ended up in 25th. In the second moto, I got off to a much better start, and was riding well, before stalling my bike. It took me a little while to get my bike started, and I crossed the finish line in 17th. I went into the final moto with nothing to lose, and just rode my race. I got off to a bad start, but rode well, and came from well outside the top 25 to get into 14th, and I ended up with a 16th overall.

Loretta's was super fun, and I learned a lot, and we just need to go back and work on some things and keep improving for next season.

I can't thank everyone enough for their support throughout the last season including: Buckelew Motocross Training, Suzuki, Fly Racing, Action Motorsports, ZR1 suspension, Renthal, No Toil, Rocket Exhaust, and 488 Web Design.

Thanks,
Austin Burns #141

14 Jul 09 ... Weekly Update #25 Verde Valley Race

This past week I was in Cottonwood, Arizona at a track called Verde Valley. I spent the week with my trainer Justin Buckelew trying to get ready for the upcoming nationals. The week went good, we did a lot of riding and training. I felt really good on the bike, and I am looking forward to the upcoming summer nationals. The week went by nicely, and I decided to race Saturday night. The track was in good condition for the race, and I was looking forward to getting in the gate again. I rode really good all night; I was able to get every holeshot except for one, and was able to win every moto except for one. Overall the night went really well, and it was a good opportunity to get in the gate, and ride against a few fast kids.

28 Jun 09 ... Weekly Update #24 Mammoth

This past week I was in Mammoth Lakes, CA for the 2009 mammoth motocross. We arrived a little early to watch some mini racing. On Thursday, practice for big bikes

started. Practice went good , and the track was pretty fun. I was feeling good I practice, and was looking forward to racing. Friday was the first day of racing for big bikes, and I was racing the schoolboy class. In the first moto, I got off to a descent start, and ended up fifth, which got me into the main event. During the main even, I got off to a top ten start, and was in sixth going into the second lap. i slid out in a corner, and couldn't get my bike started until a flagger helped me push start it. By this time, I was well in last place, and had a lot of catching up to do. I rode fairly well, and was able to catch up to about 20th.

Coming into Saturday, I was really wanting to do well. I got off to a good start in the qualifier, and qualified in sixth going into the main event. I went into the main event, and got off to a pretty good start. I was in about 7th, after a couple laps, and was trying to make a pass when my rear brakes went out. I tried to continue riding, but wasn't able to keep up the pace, and DNF'd the moto.

Unfortunately, this past week didn't go as well as I hoped, but that's all part of racing. I just look forward to the next race to do better.

22 Jun 09 ... Weekly Update #23 South Central Youth Regional

The past couple of weeks have been super busy. I have been training for the upcoming amateur nationals, and getting our qualifying finished for Loretta Lynn’s. The past week I spent a few days in Albuquerque, New Mexico riding and training with Justin Buckelew getting ready for upcoming races. New Mexico was awesome, and a super fun place to ride. I can’t thank Justin and his family enough for all their help.

After a few days in New Mexico, we headed to Lake Whitney, Texas for the south central youth regional to qualify for Loretta’s. The weekend in Texas was good. The weather was super hot and humid, but it was good. The track was in decent shape, but got super dry, and a little slick. My first moto of the weekend was Schoolboy 2. I got off to a third place start, and made a few passes and got into the lead, but then got passed by one kid, and ended up second. In the second moto, I didn’t get the greatest start, but worked my way through the pack, and again got a second place finish. In the third and final moto, I got off to a top five start, and passed a few kids, and swapped positions with a couple people. In the end I ended up fourth that moto. Overall the weekend was good, and we made it into Loretta’s in our second class.

Schoolboy 2 – (2,2,4) – 2nd overall

6 Jun 09 ... Weekly Update #22 Southwest Loretta Lynns Qualifier

This past weekend was the Loretta Lynns

southwest regional qualifier at Glen Helen raceway. The weekend started out with practice on Thursday and Friday.

The track was fun, and I couldn't wait for the weekend's race. Saturday was the stock classes, and I had one race: 250 B stock. The first moto started out descent, and I ended up with an eighth, but since they ran a three moto format, I was okay. The next two motos were okay, but I struggled with starts a little, and rode tight. Overall  I ended up 10th, and they only take 5 to Lorettas.
On Sunday, we ran schoolboy 1, and schoolboy 2. The first moto was schoolboy 1 which is on a 125 two stroke. I got off to a top 5 start, and was able to make some good passes on the first couple laps, and got into the lead, and won the first moto. The next moto was schoolboy 2 on my four stroke. I got off to a 6th place start, and made a couple mistakes, and slipped back to 7. The next two motos of schoolboy 1 went great, and was able to come away with the overall.  In schoolboy 2, I was able to get a fifth in moto 2, and a 6th in moto 3, and missed qualifying by one spot, and ended up 6th overall.
Overall it was a good weekend. I was happy with my riding, and cant wait for the next race.

12 May 09 ... Weekly Update #21 Glen Helen

This past weekend we decided to head over for the Glen Helen and race amateur day. We arrived late Thursday night, and I went and looked at the track. It looked sweet, and I couldn't wait to ride on Friday. The day started off with practice, and the track was pretty muddy, and the ruts were already deep. My first moto of the day was the 125 Intermediate. I got off to a descent start, and rode okay, but was riding a little tight, and ended up fifth. My next moto was schoolboy. I got off to a great start, and grabbed the holeshot, and was able to pull away a little bit, and end up with the win. in my second moto of intermediate, I got off to a good start, and rode strong the whole moto, and was able to end up with a third. In the next moto of schoolboy, I again got the holeshot, and rode a good race the whole moto, and got another win. In the end the weekend was super fun staying and watching the pros on Saturday, and I was able to ride good as well, and ended up with some good results:

125 Intermediate - 2nd overall
Schoolboy  - 1st overall

12 May 09 ... Weekly Update #20 South Central Loretta's Qualifier

This past week was non-stop action all week. It started out like usual; training and riding. Then Thursday came around, and I felt like I had already gone though a weeks worth of work already. On Thursday, we were headed for Lakewood, Colorado for the Loretta Lynn South Central area qualifier at Thunder Valley mx park. We arrived at the track Friday morning in time for practice. The track looked fun, and I couldn't wait to get out and ride after a 14 hour drive. Practice was delayed, and they had a broken water line, and couldn't water the track because all they had were sprinklers on the side of the track. Practice finally got on the way, and the track was super dry. It got super slippery and hard packed fast, as they were able to keep very little water on it throughout the day.

Saturday came around, and they were able to get the water line fixed, and the track watered. the track was good for practice, and I was looking forward to a much better track than Fiday. Saturday was stock classes only, and I only had one class; 250 B stock. My first moto started off good, I got a descent start, and rode a good race, and ended up 4th. The second moto came around, and this time I didn't get off to a good start at all. I was way back, and had to work my way through the pack. i came back to 9th, and ended up 8th overall, which qualified me into the south central regional.

Sunday morning we woke up to it raining. We got to the tack, and it was a muddy mess. I went out for one practice, and people were just trying to make it around the track. Since the track was so bad, they decided to run a one moto format. I ran my first moto, which was Schoolboy 2 (14-16). I got off to a descent start, and was able to pass a few people in the first and second corner. The races were only 3 laps, and left little time to pass. I rode pretty well and ended up 4th overall. My second moto was Schoolboy 1 (12-15), which is the 125 two-stroke class. Again I got off to a descent start, and again, the races were super short, and again I ended up 4th overall.

Overall the weekend went well, and I was able to qualify for the south central regional in all of my classes, and that was the main goal.

18 Apr 09... World Mini Update

Today was a good day for racing, the weather was nice, and the track was in good shape. I started off the day watching a few motos since I wasn't until later in the day. My first moto was the 250 Mod Intermediate Moto. I got off to a descent start, and was trying to work my way passed some poeple on the first lap, when I crashed in a corner. I remounted, and charged thoughout the whole moto, and was still able to end up in 11th by the end of the moto. I then went out for the 125 two-stoke class. i got off to a mid pack start, and worked my way passed a couple people on the first few laps, I rode fairly well, and ended up 9th. Overall, the track, and racing was good, and I am looking forward to the main events tomorrow.

17 Apr 09... World Mini Update

Today was a good day in Vegas. The wind finally stopped blowing and the sun came out. The track was in great shape, the ruts were super deep, and it got rough which was awesome. Without the wind blowing, they were able to keep a good amount of water on it, and it was a good day of racing. Today I had three motos. My first moto, which was intermediate stock, I didn't get off to the greatest start, but was able to work my way up to 14th, which was alright. In the 250 four-stroke non-pro class, I got off to a much better start and was able to pass a couple of people, and ended up in 5th by the end of the moto. My last race of the day was schoolboy. I got off to about a top 12 start, and worked y way past a couple people on the first lap, and then stayed strong throughout the whole moto, and was able to end up in 8th. Overall, today was the best day of racing so far, and I am looking forward to tomorrow.

16 Apr 09... World Mini Update

Today was a descent day of racing, and would've been much better if the wind hadn't been constantly blowing like crazy. The track was in pretty good shape, considering the conditions they were dealt with. The racing today for me was pretty good. I raced the mod intermediate moto, and got off to a good start in the beginning. I rode smart throughout the race, and was abele to end up in 8th. I also raced the 125 two-stroke non-pro class. I didn't get off to the greatest start in this moto, but was able to work my way past a few people to end up 8th. Overall, my races were pretty descent, and I am looking forward to getting in some more motos throughout the week.

31 Mar 09... Weekly Update #17

This past week I went to the Loretta Lynn's area qualifiers at Competitive edge. I hadn't been to that track in a while, so I was excited to get to ride it. The track was completely different from the last time I was there, and they had some fun sections, including some woop sections. The track was in good shape in the mornings, and got really rough towards the end of the day.

On Saturday they ran the stock classes, which meant I would be racing one class (250 B stock). I got a bad start, and was working my way up through the pack in the first moto, and on the last lap crashed hard, and had to sit out the rest of the day.

On Sunday, I got up not even  knowing if I was going to ride. My arm was swollen and I could barley hold on the the grip, and pull in my clutch. I raced anyway, and did okay, besides the fact that after every moto my arm would be swollen, and I was getting arm pump super fast. In the end, I was able to do okay despite one crash in my first moto of 250 B mod, and qualified into the regional.

250 B Mod - 8th place
Schoolboy 1(12-15) - 2nd place
Schoolboy 2(14-16) - 5th place

In the first moto of intermediate, I cashed while running second, and in the second moto, I got a flat tire while in the lead. On Sunday, I got a good start in my first intermediate moto, but someone crashed in front of me, and I went down with them. I was able to do well in the second moto, but my overall result wasn’t that great. In schoolboy, I was able to ride good, and overall I did pretty well. 5 Feb 09... Weekly Update #12

This past week was not the greatest week for me. I rode a little during the week, then went to race Glen Helen on the weekend. We started off the weekend by practicing on Saturday. Everything was going good, and I felt pretty fast until my race bike blew up. We then had to race my practice bike on Sunday. I went up for my first moto which was schoolboy, and ended up getting a 27th gate pick, but they were running the track backwards, so the fist turn was super tight, and I got pushed to the outside. I got about a 15th place start, worked my way up to 5th, then crashed on the last lap. The next moto up was Intermediate This time I got a 35th gate pick, and again got a horrible start, and ended up finishing 8th. I was going up to line line for my second moto of schoolboy, just going to try and get a good start, and run up font. I got a decent start (about 10th), I worked my way past a couple of kids, and was trying to pass another kid down the downhill, and went flying over the bars, and went down hard. After the crash, my bike was all messed up, and I was really sore, so I decided it would be best just to call it a day. Overall I felt my speed was good all weekend, but couldn't put the whole thing together for a good result.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for checking out a new installment of my weekly update. This past week like most people’s week was spent relaxing and hanging out with family. The week was pretty relaxing, and we are preparing for next week were we will be in California for the final round of the Triple Crown which will take place at Perris Raceway.

Besides just seeing family and relaxing, we also got some good news early in the week. We got a call informing us on a Suzuki ride. I appreciate their help and support; hopefully next year will be a great year on my new 09 Suzuki’s.

17 Nov 08... Weekly Update #3

Hey Guys,

Thanks for checking out my weekly update. This past week was spent at the Amateur Open of Motocross in Buckeye, AZ. The week started out good, we arrived at the track, and it was looking really good. They added a bunch of mulch, and also added a new hill section. We practiced on Wednesday and I was feeling really good on the track. We worked on a few final touches on our bikes, and by Thursday, I was ready to race. Thursday went pretty good, I ran my first moto which was intermediate stock. I felt good going in to my first moto, but had some bad starts the first part of the week. I rode pretty good and ended up fourth. The next day I ran four motos. In schoolboy stock, I crashed hard in the second turn, was unable to finish the race. I ran 250 four stroke open non pro next, and was able to come out with a fourth place finish, as well as a fourth place finish in both intermediate mod, and schoolboy mod. By Friday, I was hoping to get some better starts, and get myself on the podium. I was able to get much better starts, and came away with a couple second place finishes, and also a fourth place finish in my second motos. I was going into the mains setting good in all my classes except schoolboy stock. On Saturday and Sunday, I was able to put some good motos in, and get myself some goo d overall finishes.

Mid-size stock intermediate – 5th overall

10 Nov 08... Weekly Update #2

Thanks for checking out my second weekly update. This past week hasn’t been anything super special. We spent most of the week getting things ready for the weekend, and getting a few more things worked out on our bikes for the Amateur open that is coming up next week. During the week, we went and practiced a couple of days. Practice during the week went pretty good, and I was looking forward to the weekend and the upcoming next week. This weekend we attended the second round of the California Triple Crown which took place at Glen Helen raceway. The track this time was ran backwards rather than the usual direction. I thought the track was okay, but personally I like the regular direction of the track better. The racing was good, and there were quite a few people there. I was riding decent all weekend, but was just a little off pace all day. The track got pretty rough like it normally does, and by the end of the day, some sections of the track were super sketchy. Overall I rode alright, and it was a fairly good weekend, except for the second moto in the intermediate class in which I got a flat tire. The weekend was fun, and I ended up with descent results.

125 Intermediate – 4th place
Schoolboy – 3rd place

This past week was super fun. I spent the week like most just riding and training. I got to train with the best this weekend. On Saturday I trained with my new trainer, the 2001 San Diego supercross winner Justin Buckelew out at a track called Speedworld. On Sunday I trained with Justin again, as well as I got to train with the 2000 supercross champion, Stephane Roncada. The day was super fun, riding with two great motocross racers. I had a great time riding with both of them, and I would like to thank Justin Buckelew for all his help so far. Well, that’s about it for my weekly update, and check out the photos to check out Justin and Stephane riding.

15 Dec 08... Weekly Update #7

This past week was spent just riding and training for up and coming races. We spent the week riding and training. Then on the weekend we were able to hook up with a new trainer and ride at a track called Grinding Stone. The track was fun, and I felt like I was riding pretty fast. I would like to thank Justin Buckelew. He has started helping us out on training and stuff. So far it is going really well, and I can’t wait for the up and coming races.

8 Dec 08... Weekly Update #6

Thanks for checking out another weekly update. This past week was pretty normal during the weekdays. They were spent riding and training, getting ready for the weekend. This weekend I raced at Perris Raceway in Perris, CA for the final round of the California Triple Crown. We got there Saturday, and got a little practice in before racing started on Sunday. The track was good, and it was pretty fun. Sunday came around, and I was feeling pretty good. I was fairly good, but couldn’t put a start together. I had to come from way back in the back in almost every moto, and my results for the day were not a good as I was expecting, but overall for the Triple Crown I ended up doing fairly well.
12/7 race:
125 intermediate – 6th place
Schoolboy – 4th place

Overall Triple Crown:
125 intermediate – 2nd place
Schoolboy – 2nd place

2 Dec 08... Weekly Update #5

Hey Guys,

Thanks for checking out a new installment of my weekly update. This past week like most people’s week was spent relaxing and hanging out with family. I spent the beginning of the week doing a little bit of riding, and then spent the rest of the week hanging out with family. The week was pretty relaxing, and we are preparing for next week were we will be in California for the final round of the Triple Crown which will take place at Perris Raceway.

Besides just seeing family and relaxing, we also got some good news early in the week. We got a call informing us on a Suzuki ride. I would like to thank Cole Gress at Suzuki as well as Dennis at Action Motorsports for helping me with my new ride, and getting my new bikes. I appreciate their help and support; hopefully next year will be a great year on my new 09 Suzuki’s.

I would like to thank everyone for their help and support, and I am looking forward to the 09 season.

Thanks for your support,

24 Nov 08... Weekly Update #4

Hey guys,

Thanks for checking out another installment of my weekly update. This past week wasn’t too special, as we returned from the amateur open Monday. We spent a couple days recuperating from the week, and we were back at the track by Wednesday training again. We practiced a couple days during the week, and also on the weekend. We spent the week riding and getting ready for the last round of the Triple Crown which takes place on December 7th at Perris Raceway. I am looking forward to the final round as I am leading the points in both 125 intermediate and schoolboy classes. The race should be pretty fun, and I am looking forward to it. I am feeling good on the bike and can’t wait. Check in for the upcoming weeks for my results from the race.

Mid-size mod intermediate – 5th overall

Mid-size stock intermediate – 5th overall

Schoolboy mod – 5th overall

Schoolboy stock – 9th overall

250 four stroke open non pro – 4th overall

2 Nov 08 ... Weekly Update #1

Hey Guys,

Welcome to the first installment of my new weekly update. Now you can keep up to date on what is going on with me. This past week was a pretty good week. The week was spent mostly training and riding to get ready for the rapidly approaching Amateur Open of Motocross in Buckeye, AZ. I started off early in the week riding and training, and trying to get ready for the up and coming races. We rode at a track called Speedworld during the week.  On the weekend, we went and rode at Arizona Cycle Park which will be the venue for the upcoming Amateur Open. On Sunday we went to go and get a little riding in, and we were able to meet up with James from www.vurbmoto.com and get a little filming in between my motos.

Thanks for checking in for my first Weekly Update. Check in next week, to see what’s happening with me.
